5 Early Symptoms of a Mild Stroke
Early Detection Could Halt Disease Progression
Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death worldwide, particularly strokes, heart attacks, and coronary artery disease.
Heart attacks account for 75% of all cerebrovascular disease cases. They occur suddenly and have a short window for emergency treatment, leading to high disability and mortality rates.
However, early detection and treatment of stroke symptoms can save lives.
What are the symptoms of a mild stroke?
1. Unexplained headaches, dizziness, and visual disturbances
Headaches and dizziness are generally early symptoms of ischemic stroke. If sudden severe pain occurs, accompanied by nausea and projectile vomiting, one should be cautious of hemorrhagic stroke.
Patients with mild strokes may experience transient visual disturbances, possibly including temporary vision loss or blurred vision, but this usually resolves within a few minutes.
2. Fatigue and sleepiness
Despite getting sufficient sleep and rest, feeling weak and excessively sleepy could indicate inadequate brain blood supply.
