Assessing the Extent of Israel’s Losses in This Battle

Iran launched its largest-ever attack on Israel with medium-range ballistic missiles. Concurrently, the Israeli Air Defense Forces, in coordination with allied nations, managed a claimed interception rate of up to 99%.
A former Israeli military financial advisor stated that this interception operation likely cost over $1 billion. Coupled with some media revelations about the costs of Iran’s actions, the Tel Aviv leadership evidently needs to review the economic impact on its military budget.

In the early hours of the 14th, Iran struck Israel with a major assault involving missiles and drones, leading to growing pessimism about the situation in the Middle East.

Historically known for its policy of retaliation, Israel might not readily accept the current situation, especially since President Biden has explicitly stated that the U.S. would not support an Israeli counterstrike against Iran, and Iran has declared the attack “over.” Israel is unlikely to turn the page just yet.

It’s noteworthy that, according to Israeli sources, Iran fired over 100 ballistic missiles. Given that the nearest point on the Israeli-Iranian border is almost 1000 kilometers away…
