One sunny spring morning, Germanwings Flight 9525 took off from Barcelona Airport with passengers heading to Germany.

The sky was clear and blue, with clouds floating by slowly. Everything seemed calm and peaceful. No one knew that a disaster was about to happen.

On March 24, 2015, Germanwings Flight 9525 crashed in the French Alps, and all 150 people on board died.

Passengers screamed, a pilot banged on the door, and the co-pilot was silent. It was a terrible aviation disaster caused by humans.

That day, 16 students and two teachers from Joseph König School got up early. They walked through Barcelona El Prat Airport, ready to go back to their hometown of Haltern.

Before getting on the plane, they sent messages to their families, saying they had a great week in Llinars del Vallès. The kids also promised to bring back souvenirs.
