It Seems My Immunity Has Decreased After COVID-19

Both online and in real life, many people are complaining that their immunity has weakened after contracting COVID-19, leading to repeated fevers and infections.

Many of these individuals had not experienced a fever for years before COVID-19, but now find themselves dealing with frequent fevers. I am one of them. Here, I will share my own experience.

First COVID-19 Infection

My first COVID-19 infection was likely similar to most people’s, occurring in December 2022.

During that time, I had a high fever for the first time in years, experiencing the familiar discomfort of being bedridden with weakness. The last time I felt this way was back in high school.

Following the fever, I endured about a month of coughing. The persistent dry cough was uncomfortable, but thankfully it gradually improved without medication.

What stands out most from that period is the memory of hospitals being filled with pneumonia patients. Every department was overwhelmed with pneumonia cases, and there were no other types of patients.

Moreover, many medications were in short supply. Commonly used drugs were hard to find, but we all got through the toughest times.

Since I was young, I have always enjoyed reading biographies of historical figures, especially those about World War II, including documentaries and novels.
