The Butterfly Effect Following Rabin’s Assassination

In 1995, Israel.

The square was brightly lit, with a hundred thousand people gathered, awaiting the start of a grand event.

Amid deafening cheers, Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin took the stage to deliver an impassioned speech on peace.

But in the next second, gunshots rang out, Rabin was struck down, and the world was left in shock.

Three years later, the then-President of the United States, Bill Clinton, was caught in a scandal known as “Zippergate,” involving his affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky, which caused a sensation.

Suddenly, Clinton’s reputation plummeted, and he even became the second U.S. president in history to face impeachment.

However, years later, Clinton stated in his memoirs that it was Rabin’s death that led to Lewinsky’s emergence.

Why would Clinton say this? What is the connection between these three individuals? Behind the world-shaking “Zippergate,” what unknown details lurk?

To understand all this, we must first go back to 1998.
