Thrive in Your Own World

A very healing passage:

As long as you stop following others, stop speculating about their thoughts, and don’t imagine things that haven’t happened. Simplify your lifestyle and slow down your pace, and you’ll find yourself living comfortably and freely.

Sometimes, our discomfort comes from having too many points of comparison.
When you stop caring so much, you won’t mind others’ opinions or comments about you, and you can thrive in your own world.

The people around us serve as our points of comparison. We care about their opinions and attitudes toward us, speculate about what they might think or do, and can’t help but compare ourselves to them.

When others live in luxury, we feel inferior. When others hold high positions, we feel jealous.

We fear others’ criticism, crave their praise and approval, and dread being looked down upon.

When you let go of obsessions, stop following others, stop speculating about their thoughts, and don’t worry about things that haven’t happened, and instead focus on living in the present and doing what you love, you will eventually achieve the brilliance you desire.

Since I was young, I have always enjoyed reading biographies of historical figures, especially those about World War II, including documentaries and novels.
